First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin presented his priorities in the work and spoke about key changes in the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Under Yevgeny Yenin: National Police, State Emergency Service and State Migration Service.

The First Deputy Minister said that he had already listened to the heads of departments about the problems and the necessary changes they see and informed them in detail about the priority areas for change.

“We are facing a real Everest of new tasks and “hereditary” problems, and we need to take this height by any means, because not only the image of one of the most important ministries of Ukraine depends on it, but also the life of Ukrainians,” Yevhenii Yenin stressed.

In particular, among the priority areas of work is the reduction of mortality on the roads.

“Every year more than three thousand people die on the roads, nine die every day and 90 are injured. It is also a war, but on the road. And in order to win, we must respond effectively and quickly to the threat. By the end of the year, we will be able to talk about almost three hundred installed modern autofixation complexes, which means saving the lives of our citizens,” said the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

Yevgeny Yenin stressed that the destruction of technological conservatism, stagnation is another priority of the minister.

“The task of digitalization is not only responding to the challenges of today, but also the need to return the ministry to the face of the people. In the State Migration Service, I aim to simplify the receipt of administrative services by citizens and minimize contacts with employees. This not only speeds up the receipt of services and makes it possible to choose, but also strikes at the very heart of corruption. We will constantly expand the geography of visa-free travel, and citizens will be able to get a passport in just a day. Another of the tasks set is the automatic acquisition and withdrawal of citizenship,” he noted.

Yevgeny Yenin spoke about plans to combine databases of different departments:

“We declare war on the “bureaucratic monster.” Every citizen should remember the interaction with the state service not with horror, but with a smile. This integration of databases will help to quickly, easily and comfortably receive administrative services and save our time.”

Also, the First Deputy Minister announced the modernization of the State Emergency Service.

“We will increase the number of firefighting aircraft and other equipment, and introduce solutions that will reduce deaths of Ukrainians in fires, natural disasters, as well as help adequately respond and prevent man-made disasters,” he said.
