Changes in border crossing rules: people with disabilities will be allowed out on an extraordinary basis
On August 3, the President of Ukraine signed the Law “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Increasing Social Guarantees for Persons with Disabilities and Children with Disabilities”.
This document strengthens the social protection of people with disabilities and entered into force today, August 5, 2021.
In particular, according to this Law, people with disabilities who go for treatment and have relevant documents, persons with disabilities of group I and persons accompanying them, have the right to emergency passage across the state border of Ukraine and at the checkpoints of entry/exit to the temporarily occupied territories (no more often once a week in one direction).
