The procedure for entering Ukraine of persons arriving from India, Great Britain, the Russian Federation and Portugal has been changed
The changes apply to persons who have arrived from India, the United Kingdom, the Russian Federation and Portugal, or have been in their territory for at least seven days within the last 14 days.
According to the decision of the Government, foreigners (except for certain exceptions) who arrived from these countries cannot enter Ukraine without a negative result of a rapid test for determining the antigen of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Such a test should be carried out at checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine.
Ukrainians (and categories of foreigners defined by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine) who arrived from these countries can also take an express test at checkpoints. Without a negative result of such a test, citizens of Ukraine older than 12 years are subject to mandatory self-isolation and observation. Employees of the National Police provide escort of persons to be observed from the border control area to the sanitary zone for their further transportation to the observation sites or to health facilities for their hospitalization.
To the greatest extent, these changes concern persons crossing the Ukrainian border on the site with the Russian Federation. Today, there are five road checkpoints “Senkivka” in Chernihiv region, “Bachivsk” and “Yunakivka” - in Sumy, “Milove” - in Luhansk region and “Hoptivka” - in Kharkiv region. From 00.00 to 11.00 today (July 2) at these checkpoints, more than 1800 people crossed the state border to enter Ukraine, of which more than 900 people (including 379 citizens of Ukraine) passed testing, 745 - went for self-isolation, and 49 - for observation. The rest are children under 12 years of age and participants in international transportation.
We also remind you that foreigners arriving in Ukraine (regardless of which country) need to have insurance that covers the costs associated with COVID-19 treatment, observation, as well as a negative result of PCR or express testing, which was carried out no more than 72 hours before crossing the border, or a document confirming receipt of full the course of vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines included in the WHO list approved for use in emergency situations.
