The attacker who committed hooliganism in a supermarket in Mariupol is taken into custody without bail

Today, the Primorsky District Court opted for a precautionary measure against a suspect who broke into a supermarket with an ax and smashed shop windows. The defendant was arrested for two months without the right to post bail.

Recall, on April 22, the police detained a man who committed hooligan acts in a store in Mariupol. In addition, at the place of residence of the attacker, the police seized weapons and drugs.

On the fact of the offenses committed by the suspect, several criminal proceedings were initiated at once: under Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism), Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) and Part 2 of Art. 309 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation or shipment of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues without the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The maximum penalty that can threaten the defendant is up to seven years in prison.

By a court decision, the offender was selected for a preventive measure in the form of two months of detention without the right to make bail.
