Crime and Countering it in the Context of Singularity: Trends and Innovations
In Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a scientific-practical conference “Crime and Countering it in the Conditions of Singularity: Trends and Innovations” was held online, dedicated to the memory of Professor Tetiana Denisova, a member of the Board of the Criminological Association of Ukraine.
The conference was opened by the rector of the university Valery Sokurenko. He noted that out of more than 200 participants of the scientific event there are both recognized scientists and young scientists — graduate students, adjuncts, masters, cadets and students, as well as practical law enforcement officers. All of them explore topical, acute, debatable issues of crime and countering it in the context of singularity. The solution of these issues will contribute to the development of criminological science in a new era, the qualitative restoration of its methodology in a rapidly changing reality, knowledge of the truth based on the deep ethical principles of communication in society and the construction of an orderly system of views and principles of legal analysis. The authors on the pages of their works raised extremely important, innovative, and, undoubtedly, urgent issues of criminal-legal and criminological support for combating crime in conditions of singularity.

IN. IN. Stashisa of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Associate Professor Yuriy Danilchenko — “Violation of traffic rules in a state of intoxication as a characteristic manifestation of the state of singularity of Ukrainian society”; Head of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty No. 1 of KHNUVS Doctor of Juridical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Oleksiy Litvinov “On Criminological Innovations and Some Disappointing Results of Their Implementation”; Director of the Research Institute for the Study of Crime Problems named after Academia. IN. IN. Stashisa of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor Vladislav Batyrgareiv — “The attitude of the population of Ukraine to measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as a manifestation of the singularity of mass consciousness”.
Summing up the results of the conference, the Rector thanked everyone for their participation in the scientific event and fruitful cooperation and noted that the conference will be a significant contribution to the development of a priority problem for Ukraine — the fight against crime in the modern world. He wished all participants new discoveries, interesting discussions and productive scientific search on the way to increase the effectiveness of the fight against crime.
All reports submitted to the organizing committee are included in the collection of abstracts of the scientific and practical conference reports.
