Convicted for the murder of “authority” was informed of suspicion of spreading criminal influence and selling drugs in the Chortkiv institution of serving sentences
A 29-year-old native of Crimea is serving a sentence for a premeditated murder. In the Chortkiv prison serving sentences, in Ternopil region, the man spread the so-called “thieving traditions”, urged other prisoners to violate the established rules of conduct and positioned himself as one of the so-called “spies” behind certain sections of the correctional institution.
One of the key “areas” for which the “authority” was responsible was the raising of funds from the so-called “game”, where the prize fund was prohibited items and drugs in the institution. The attacker organized and controlled the channel for the supply of drugs to the Chortkiv institution of serving sentences. In addition, it was he who distributed the “goods” among other convicts and chose who should sell prohibited substances.
It is also known that in order to legalize funds received from criminal activities, “authority” used the bank card of a previously convicted resident of Ternopil region. Among his accomplices was convicted of intentional grievous bodily harm, a 27-year-old so-called “sleuth” in a correctional institution.
Yesterday, April 21, operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in Ternopil Oblast, investigators of the Regional Police Department under the procedural leadership of the Ternopil Regional and Chortkiv District Prosecutor's Offices conducted searches on the territory of the Chortkiv institution serving sentences. Detected and seized significant quantities of narcotic substances in solid, crystalline, powdered and other forms, mobile phones, bank cards, rough records of “thieving traditions” and distribution of so-called “commoners”.
The 29-year-old “authority” was informed of suspicion under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 2 of Article 255-1 (establishment and dissemination of criminal influence in the institution serving sentences) and Part 2 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues). The issue of transferring the suspect to an isolation facility for temporary detention in another area is resolved, as well as the identities of all accomplices are established.
