The police of Vinnytsia region started criminal proceedings after the fire in the suburban recreation complex
The extraordinary event happened around 3.00 in Sadove village of Lityn territorial community of Vinnytsia district. As a result of the fire, which occurred on the sixth floor in the premises of the hotel and restaurant complex, one person died, two were hospitalized.
Police and rescuers evacuated about 60 people, including 53 children. Around 5.30 pm the fire was localized. Measures to eliminate its consequences continue.
According to preliminary information, three people jumped out of the window during the fire. The girl died from the injuries received. Information about it is established. Two other people, a 19-year-old girl and a 43-year-old man, were hospitalized in the hospital.
Police investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 270 (Violation of fire safety requirements established by law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sex sanction provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of three to eight years.
