Since the beginning of the year, there have been more than 60 forest fires on the territory of Ukraine and more than 7 thousand fires in open areas
In Ukraine, the season of economic works continues, which is primarily accompanied by the fight against garbage and vegetation residues by incineration. Such activities, for which, among other things, administrative and criminal liability are provided, have led to an increase in the number of fires in natural ecosystems and in open areas.
Thus, since the beginning of 2021, more than 60 forest fires and more than 7 thousand fires have already occurred on the territory of Ukraine in open areas: grass, garbage, etc.
In particular, during the day of April 20, the largest number of fires were recorded in the Kiev region, namely 11 cases, to which the response of the units of the State Emergency Service was ensured. 5 fires were recorded in the open areas of Khmelnytskyi region, and another 4 — in Dnipropetrovsk region.
A day earlier, in Kirovograd region, firefighters also liquidated 5 fires in open territory. Vegetation fires occurred in the Alexandria, Novgorodkivsk, Aleksandrovsky and Ustynivsky districts.
Therefore, given the rapid approach to the fire danger period, rescuers are intensifying preventive work among citizens to prevent the occurrence of fires in open areas and in ecosystems of Ukraine. In particular, as part of the raid groups, specialists of the Rescue Service carry out two-way detours of residents of the private sector, as well as detect piles directly at the burning sites.
The SNS reminds: it is strictly forbidden to burn garbage, make fires near forest plantations, dry vegetation and leave cigarette butts or matches on the grass bed.
It must be remembered that violation of fire safety rules carries a threat not only to the environment, but also, first of all, to your life and health!
