Since the beginning of the year, 10 million citizens have been registered at the state border
During the month of May, there is a certain gradual increase in passenger traffic at the state border of Ukraine. A special revival of passenger traffic has been observed over the past few weeks.
This is facilitated by the beginning of the summer tourist season and a certain easing of entry conditions for citizens of Ukraine by a number of countries of the world.
Prior to this, the average daily rate of crossing the border was 70-80 thousand people moving in and out of Ukraine. Currently, the average number of people crossing the border every day is 90,000 people.
We will note that the average daily statistics at the end of May last year amounted to about 20-25 thousand people.
In general, since the beginning of this year, employees of the State Border Guard Service have already registered 10 million people at the state border in both directions.
For comparison, for the same period last year, the passenger flow amounted to almost 16 million people.
Recall that quarantine restrictions, which began to operate on the border of Ukraine due to the prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection, were introduced by the Government in March 2020.
