Since the beginning of the year, domestic violence response teams have made almost 63,000 visits
86 mobile response groups have been established and operate in 67 cities of Ukraine. Police helped almost 28 thousand victims of the actions of offenders, in particular 22 thousand women, 3.4 thousand men and 2.4 thousand children.
The main tasks of these mobile groups are the reception of statements and reports of the commission of domestic and gender-based violence, the timely response to such facts, the preparation within the competence of protocols on administrative offenses and urgent prohibition orders in relation to offenders, interaction with other entities that implement measures in the field of prevention and counteraction of domestic violence.
Representatives of mobile groups constantly organize the provision of pre-medical and psychological care to the affected persons, as well as help them with their placement in specialized shelters or other institutions.
To date, police mobile groups have issued 13 thousand urgent prohibition orders against violators and compiled 21 thousand administrative protocols under article 173-2 of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses.
According to the results of the response of mobile groups to reports of domestic violence during the year, information on the commission of criminal offenses in the field of domestic violence was entered into the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations, of which under Article 126-1 (Domestic Violence) — 343 facts and 45 — under Article 390-1 (Failure to comply restrictive measures, restrictive orders or failure to pass the program for offenders) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 16 thousand people have been placed on preventive accounting and more than 29 thousand preventive conversations with offenders have been conducted. Police officers constantly monitor compliance with the requirements of measures to temporarily restrict the rights of the offender and carry out preventive work together with social services in families where cases of domestic violence are recorded.
Thanks to the introduction of modern experience in responding to the facts of domestic violence, preventive work has been significantly strengthened, such offenses are promptly stopped and the victims are protected. After all, the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens is one of the highest European values.
