Already in January, 14 categories of police officers will receive a salary increase of 5 percent: patrol police units, special purpose police, welfare, explosives services, district police officers, convoy service, IT workers, juvenile prevention, those units that work with communities. This was reported by the head of the National Police on the Rada TV channel.

According to Igor Klymenko, the salary fund of the National Police in 2022 was increased by only one billion hryvnias.

“We assumed that the salary increase for all categories of police officers would be completed in February 2022 by 10 percent. But from January 14, we will begin to pay increased wages to 14 categories of police officers. These are units of the patrol police, special purpose police, welfare officers, which are located in the east of our country, the explosives service, district police officers, the convoy service, IT workers, juvenile prevention, those units that work with communities,” the Head of National Police said.

According to Igor Klymenko, the criminal police, investigation and investigation units in January will receive a 5% salary increase, and the salary will increase by another 5% in February.

“From February 1, the salary increase will apply to every police officer. We understand that this is the beginning, and the work of the National Police of Ukraine was paid attention to the work of the National Police of Ukraine,” said Igor Klymenko.

Commenting on the situation with the alleged mass dismissal of police officers, the head of the department said that in 2021 13 361 people were dismissed from the ranks of the National Police, in 2020 - about 10 thousand and in 2019 - 13 thousand. At the same time, the main reason for dismissal is an insufficient level of monetary security. In addition, many police officers moved to work in the newly created law enforcement agencies, where the wages are several times higher.

Therefore, the National Police supports changes in the legislation that will allow, within the economic possibilities of the state, to raise the monetary retention of police officers.

Recall that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky said that law enforcement officers will receive an increase in salaries from February 2022.
