From November 12, patrolling police officers will use specialized vehicles — mobile diagnostic stations
They serve to monitor compliance with the technical condition of vehicles subject to mandatory technical control, established rules, norms and standards related to road safety.
This was stated by the First Deputy Head of the Department of Patrol Police Alexey Beloshitsky.
“Mobile diagnostic stations are equipped with modern devices that meet state standards. With the help of the equipment of the diagnostic station, the police will be able to: measure the parameters of the light parameters of the headlights of vehicles; measure the residual height of the tire tread pattern; carry out analysis of exhaust emissions of gasoline and gasoline engines; carry out measurements of the smoke factor of engines running on diesel fuel; carry out measurements of the permissible level of external noise of vehicles; determine the total lift of the steering of the vehicle; check other structural elements of vehicles,” he said
Such stations are already equipped with every unit of patrol police, in each region.
It is worth noting that inspection by diagnostic stations does not currently apply to private passenger transport!
Transport to be inspected:
1. Trucks over 3.5 tons and trailers to them;
2. Buses;
3. Taxi cars;
4th. Cars carrying dangerous goods;
5. Separate Specialized TCs.
6. Passenger cars and trailers to them, which are used to transport passengers or cargo for the purpose of making a profit.
