How checkpoints work on the demarcation line in the area of the PLO
In accordance with the decision of the Joint Forces Operation Commander, all checkpoints are open for passage through the demarcation line. Checkpoints operate daily from 08.00 to 16.00.
At the same time, the occupiers continue to completely block traffic on five of the seven road corridors.
Daily passage through the demarcation line is carried out only in “Stanytsya Luhanska”. During the week, the intensity of crossing the demarcation line increased by 8%. In total, 6,990 people passed through this road corridor to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, and 6,547 people to the controlled territory.
Opposite the Novotroitske checkpoint, the occupiers pass only certain citizens twice a week — on Monday and Friday. During these days, 378 people and 87 vehicles crossed the demarcation line at the checkpoint to the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region, while 313 people and 73 vehicles passed through the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
5 trucks with humanitarian cargo from the International Committee of the Red Cross passed through the checkpoint “Novotroitske”. Construction materials with a total weight of 46.1 tons were prepared for the population of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine.
We remind you that citizens who are subject to self-isolation while following the controlled territory are obliged to install and activate the mobile application of the electronic service “Home”. In the event that it is not possible to install a mobile application, they are subject to observation. And foreigners, when crossing the demarcation line, in addition, must have an insurance policy.
At the same time, there is a wide list of categories of citizens to whom self-isolation does not apply. We advise citizens to familiarize themselves with the full list of categories of persons who are not subject to self-isolation. Self-isolation will stop if a negative COVID-19 test result is obtained by PCR or express test, which is carried out after crossing the checkpoint.
During their stay at the checkpoint, persons are required to wear a protective mask (respirator) and/or protective shield and observe social distancing.
