Establishment of criminal influence and kidnapping of a person — in Donetsk region police reported suspicion of two “spies”
“Authoritarians” convicted of serious crimes are currently in custody. They could face up to 15 years in prison.
Operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in Donetsk region and investigators of the Investigative Directorate of the Regional Police received evidence of the involvement of “criminal authorities” in the commission of serious crimes. In particular, to the abduction of a person, the assignment of bodily harm, as well as the establishment and dissemination of criminal influence in the detention center and at large.
The 55-year-old “spy” behind one of the cities and his 29-year-old accomplice, a former “spy” for the detention center, kidnapped and beat a citizen in May this year. For the commission of these crimes, both were taken into custody and placed in correctional isolation. While in the detention center, the “authorities” established and spread criminal influence in the special institution, from among the dependents appointed those responsible for certain buildings, controlled the collection of funds for the “criminal community” and the supply of prohibited items to the detention center.
On the basis of additional evidence of criminal activity received in the course of the investigation, the police reported the suspicion to two “authorities”. Their actions are qualified under Part 2 of Art. 255-1 (Establishment and dissemination of criminal influence in the detention center), Part 2 and Part 3 of Art. 27 Part 2 of Art. 125 (intentional light bodily harm), Part 2 and Part 3 of Art. 27 Part 2 of Art. 146 (abduction and deprivation human will) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The suspect may face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property for the crime.
