Wanting to “make money”, the accomplices offered the defendant in the proceedings for a monetary reward of 10 thousand US dollars not to report his whereabouts to the pre-trial investigation authorities, nor to transfer him to the court to choose a preventive measure.
After receiving part of the “ransom” - 55 thousand hryvnias, the man was released. The other part of the money was to be transferred by the detainee to a bank card to the 41-year-old conspirator, which he handed over to the police. In total, the defendants received 95 thousand hryvnias from the man.
