Withdrawal of a record batch of amphetamine: ten defendants are suspected
As a result of the searches, law enforcement officers seized 120 kg of finished amphetamine, about 500 kg of phenylnitropropene and more than three tons of precursors, from which the attackers planned to manufacture more than two tons of psychotropics.
Recall that yesterday, as a result of a large-scale special operation, law enforcement officers detained the participants of the criminal group. They were engaged in the manufacture and distribution of psychotropic substance in particularly large sizes in the territory of the state.
Law enforcement officers conducted searches in the territory of Dnipropetrovsk, Kiev and Cherkasy regions, as well as in the city of Kiev.
It was established that attackers on the basis of an industrial enterprise in the city of Dnipro equipped a laboratory for the production of amphetamine. Already finished products were distributed through five online stores using the postal service or through so-called “caches”.
According to the results of searches at the place of residence of drug dealers, in their cars and places of concentration of prohibited substances, the police seized more than 120 kilograms of finished amphetamine, about 500 kilograms of phenylnitropropene and more than three tons of precursors, from which the attackers planned to manufacture more than two tons of psychotropics.
In addition, they found equipment for the manufacture of amphetamine, several units of firearms, namely pistols, automatic machines and a large number of rounds, money in national and foreign currency, computer equipment, bank cards, notes on the amount of prohibited substances sold and records of money movements in bank accounts as well as premium cars.
Currently, ten defendants have been detained under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. In agreement with the prosecutor's office, they were informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The defendants face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Measures are being taken to establish a full circle of persons involved in criminal activity.
