Free movement of citizens through checkpoints is hindered by occupiers who have blocked traffic in most road corridors
By the decision of the Joint Operations Commander, all checkpoints are open for passage through the demarcation line. Checkpoints operate daily from 08.00 to 16.00.
However, the free movement of citizens is hindered by the occupiers, who have blocked traffic in most of the road corridors.
Opposite the checkpoint “Novotroitske”, the occupiers pass only individual citizens, twice a week — on Mondays and Fridays. During these days, 693 people and 100 vehicles crossed the demarcation line at the checkpoint to the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region, at the same time 595 people and 96 vehicles passed through the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities.
Of the seven open checkpoints, a full pass is carried out only in “Stanytsya Luhanska”. Passenger traffic was dynamic and increased by 15%. It should be noted that there is an increase in the number of citizens who follow the territory controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. In total, 9,473 people passed through this road corridor into the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine in a week, and 9,625 people entered the controlled territory.
During the control measures, the border guards detected 6 citizens who were heading to the controlled territory on partially forged documents. Notices are sent to the National Police on the detection of signs of criminal offenses.
35 trucks with humanitarian cargo from the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees passed through the checkpoints “Novotroitske” and “Schastya”. International organizations for the population of the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine completed building materials, furniture, medical equipment and hygiene kits. The total weight of humanitarian aid was 295.6 tons.
We remind you that citizens who are subject to self-isolation while following the controlled territory are obliged to install and activate the mobile application of the system “At Home”. If it is not possible to install a mobile application, they are subject to observation. And foreigners, when crossing the demarcation line, in addition, must have an insurance policy.
At the same time, there is a wide list of categories of citizens to whom self-isolation does not apply. We advise citizens to familiarize themselves with the full list of categories of persons who are not subject to self-isolation. Also, self-isolation will be stopped in case of a negative result of testing for COVID-19 by PCR or express test, which is carried out after crossing the checkpoint.
Also a prerequisite is the passage of temperature screening and staying in the checkpoint in a protective mask (respirator) with observance of social distance.
