There was a telephone conversation between the Ministers of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Estonia
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky held a telephone conversation with his Estonian counterpart Christian Jaani today, December 20.
Denis Monastyrsky informed his colleague about the state of affairs on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border and about the threats caused by the buildup of Russian troops near the Ukrainian-Russian border. Ministers also discussed the introduction in Ukraine of the pilot project “Electronic queue crossing the border”, which is currently taking place in the Transcarpathian region.
In turn, Estonian Minister of Internal Affairs Kristian Jaani noted the high level of bilateral cooperation between states, especially in the fight against cybercrime.
The Parties agreed to intensify cooperation on cybersecurity, information security and national resilience.
In Ukraine, there is already a joint Ukrainian-Estonian project “Resilient Ukraine”, which is implemented by the National Defense Center of Estonia.
Denis Monastyrsky thanked for the high appreciation of cooperation and noted that Estonia has done a lot for Ukraine so that our country can defend itself from Russian aggression.
“I have always called Estonians the greatest patriots and defenders of Ukraine in Europe. Therefore, I am very happy to work together,” he said.
The parties expressed hope for the earliest opportunity for personal acquaintance.
