The Slovak side sent information to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine about quarantine restrictions, which from today begin to apply on the territory of the Slovak Republic. General rules of arrival from abroad

Immediately after entering the territory of Slovakia, persons are obliged to register at the link: https://korona.gov.sk/ehranica, confirm the registration at the border, and be ready to confirm the registration during their stay in the country.

It is noted that in case of arrival in the territory of Slovakia by air, the person must fill out the form at: https://www.mindop.sk/covid/ before departure. Upon arrival from certain countries, it is necessary to provide a negative result of the RT-PCR test, taken no earlier than 72 hours before entry.

All unvaccinated persons entering the territory of Slovakia after 06:00 09.07.2021 must go into self-isolation for a period of 14 days (if during this time there are no symptoms or testing has not been carried out).

If a person develops symptoms of COVID-19 after arriving from abroad, he is obliged to inform his doctor; in the event that such person does not have a doctor in the territory of Slovakia, he or she must inform the doctor of the region of stay.

A person is considered to be vaccinated if:

at least 14 days, but not more than 12 months, have passed after receiving the second dose of vaccination according to a double scheme;

21 days have passed, but not more than 12 months, after receiving vaccination according to a one-time scheme;

at least 14 days, but not more than 12 months, have elapsed after receiving the first dose of vaccination according to a double vaccination schedule, if the first dose was received within a period of up to 180 days after suffering a COVID-19 illness;

This is valid temporarily, until 09.08.2021.

In addition to the EU Covid card or vaccination certificate, certificates from other countries are also recognized provided that such certificate contains the necessary information in Slovak, Czech or English.

Registration on e-Hranica

Every person entering the territory of Slovakia from 09.07.2021 must register at https://korona.gov.sk/ehranica. This requirement does not apply to children under 12 years of age and persons crossing the territory of Slovakia by transit.

Registration is required at each entry into the territory of Slovakia, except:

fully vaccinated persons (registration is valid for 6 months);

persons who received the first dose of any vaccine (registration is valid until 09.08.2021);

persons aged 12 to 18 years (registration is valid until 09.08.2021);

persons traveling for the purpose of diagnosis or treatment (registration is valid for 1 week).

Until 01.09.2021, one registration is enough:

persons who have a permanent or temporary residence permit in Slovakia and a place of work in neighboring countries, EU countries or others (Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein or Switzerland) and have only been in that country for the purpose of employment during the last 14 days;

persons who have a permanent or temporary residence permit in the EU countries, in Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, and in the case of Ukraine — at a distance of up to 100 km from the nearest operating checkpoint, if they are employed in Slovakia and travel exclusively for work;

Slovak citizens living in the border areas of the neighboring state at a distance of up to 100 km from the nearest operating checkpoint.

Quarantine

All persons entering the territory of Slovakia from 06:00 09.07.2021 must go into self-isolation for a period of 14 days (if no symptoms occur during this time).

Self-isolation can be stopped by receiving a negative result of the RT-PCR test, done no earlier than the 5th day.

Children under 12 years of age do not need to take the test. Their quarantine ends on the same day as that of the last adult member of the common household.

Quarantine also applies to members of the common household who have not traveled and ends on the same day as that of a member of the common household who came from abroad.

Exempted from quarantine:

Fully vaccinated persons;

Persons aged 12 to 18 years, if they do not live with other people subject to quarantine — temporarily until 09.08.2021;

Persons who cannot be vaccinated for health reasons — they must confirm this fact with a certificate, as well as provide a negative result of the RT-PCR test, taken no earlier than 72 hours;

Unvaccinated citizens of Slovakia who have a permanent or temporary residence permit in the border areas of a neighboring state at a distance of up to 100 km from the nearest functioning checkpoint. They must give a negative result of the RT-PCR test, made no earlier than 7 days;

Non-vaccinated persons who were not previously quarantined (aircraft crews, train crews, truck drivers, ritual service workers, etc.). This category of persons is also required to register on e-Hranica. Other changes in quarantine exceptions:

Entry into the territory of Slovakia for certain working groups (for example, official delegations of representatives of the Slovak Republic, members of the European Parliament or representatives of international organizations) is allowed, provided that a negative result of the RT-PCR test is given, taken no more than 72 hours.

The new quarantine obligation also applies to unvaccinated persons who briefly arrive in or leave the territory of Slovakia for the purpose of attending a wedding. The exception for short-term entry in order to participate in the burial of a loved one remains subject to the provision of a negative result of the RT-PCR test, taken no more than 72 hours. The regime for unvaccinated persons traveling to work is valid until 01.09.2021.

This category of persons is not subject to quarantine if they meet the following requirements:

in the last 14 days have been in only one of the EU countries, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or Ukraine;

have a temporary or permanent residence permit in Slovakia and a place of work in one of the EU countries, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland or Ukraine;

have a permanent or temporary residence permit in the EU countries, in Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein or Switzerland, and in the case of Ukraine — at a distance of up to 100 km from the nearest operating checkpoint and place of work in Slovakia;

have a certificate from the employer about the place of work;

have a negative RT-PCR test result taken no earlier than 7 days before arrival.

Pupils and students over the age of 12 who enter the territory of Slovakia and attend a kindergarten, primary or secondary school, or higher education institution in neighboring countries (or, conversely, live in these countries and attend an educational institution in Slovakia) are not subject to quarantine, if they have a certificate of full-time training and a negative result of an RT-PCR test done in no more than 7 days.

These conditions also apply to one accompanying person, who must have a document certifying the status of the accompanying person.

Please note that students must cross the border for active learning (something that happens on a daily basis) and not during the holidays.

Regime on the borders of Slovakia

for air travelers (enters into force from 09.07.2021)

Arrival in the territory of SLOVAKIA by air transport.

If a person arrives in the territory of Slovakia by air from a country not listed below, he must provide a negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19 to a police representative, taken no more than 72 hours:

Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, China, Czech Republic, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Georgia, Netherlands, Netherlands, Netherlands Hong Kong, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Canada, South Korea, Kosovo, Cuba, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Latvia, Luxembourg, Macau, Hungary, Malta, Moldova, Monaco, Germany, Norway, New Zealand Poland, Austria, Romania, San Marino, North Macedonia, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, USA, Mexico, Serbia, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, Ukraine.

A test is required to enter from other countries.

Upon arrival from non-listed countries, a person must provide a police representative with a negative RT-PCR test result for COVID-19, taken no more than 72 hours. This also applies to vaccinated individuals. This condition is caused by the fact that passengers arrive from countries where there is an increased risk of infection with a particularly dangerous strain of Sars-Cov-2. The combination of registration and testing significantly reduces the risk of introduction and subsequent uncontrolled spread of new and more dangerous strains of the virus.

List of countries for which a negative test result is not required:
