Costly medicines, in particular against COVID-19 and hepatitis, and a package with jewelry were tried to be illegally moved from the Russian Federation
While carrying the service, the border guard noticed a car that was moving along the state border in the territory of the Russian Federation.
In order to prevent possible illegal activities, the border guards of the Vesele department immediately went to the specified area.
During the survey of the border section, law enforcement officers found five packages, which unknown persons, most likely, transferred from the Russian Federation to the territory of Ukraine through the barrier fence.
The packages contained valuable medicines that are used in the treatment of COVID-19, hepatitis, as well as in obstetrics and gynecology. In one of the boxes there were also jewelry made of metal, outwardly similar to silver.
The discovered goods will be transferred to the officers of the competent law enforcement agencies, who will determine the amount of their assessment. Measures are underway to establish a circle of persons involved in illegal activities.
