KHNUVS started seminars with the participation of invited teachers from Denmark, Sweden, Spain
Seminars-trainings “Fundamentals of special tactics of police units of special purpose police according to the Scandinavian model of ensuring public security and order during peaceful gatherings and other mass events” have started at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
The first vice-rector of the university, Dmitry Shvets, addressed the participants of the educational course: “You have the opportunity to gain international experience, to develop an algorithm of actions during the course. I am sure that the classes will be effective, rich, and most importantly - effective.”
Deputy head of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region, police colonel Vitaliy Guz, noted that the Scandinavian model of training is already used in the National Police of Ukraine when ensuring order during peaceful mass events and, as practice shows, it brings its positive results. The leadership of Kharkiv police is grateful to international partners for cooperation.
The commander of the special purpose regiment of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region, police captain Oleksandr Bunyevsky also congratulated the attendees and wished them to acquire new knowledge and skills.
Fernando Magro Moros (Spain), Senior Group for Public Safety of the European Union Consultative Mission in Ukraine, addressed those present: “We came not to teach, but to share knowledge and experience, to help our Ukrainian colleagues implement the standards of the European Union”.
After receiving instructions, the police began the exercise.
