In Kherson, police detained an employee of the executive service while receiving 100 thousand hryvnias of illegal benefits
The operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Kherson region became aware that a 27-year-old state executive of the executive service of one of the district departments in Kherson offered a private entrepreneur to help remove the seizure from real estate. The official estimated his “help” in the amount of 100 thousand hryvnias. Yesterday, April 04, law enforcement officers documented the illegal activities of a civil servant. The funds were withdrawn, and the state executor was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. At the moment, she has been informed of the suspicion of committing a crime provided for in Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, that is, the receipt by an official of an illegal benefit combined with its enforcement.
According to the deputy chief of police of the Kherson region Mykola Verbytsky, during the pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings opened by the employees of the investigative department after receiving operational information, the police established that for the improper benefit of officials promised a private entrepreneur to resolve the issue of exclusion from the State Register of Substances rights to real estate encumbrance in the form of arrest for two apartments.
Yesterday, April 04, a civil servant on his own car met with an entrepreneur in a fenced place and received from the latter money in dollar equivalent (3500 US dollars), which was documented by investigators of the regional police chief and employees of the Strategic Investigations Department under the procedural leadership of the regional prosecutor's office.
The perpetrator was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. At the moment, she has been informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official”. The sanction of the article provides for a punishment in the form of imprisonment for a period of 5 to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property. The question of the selection of a suspected preventive measure by the court is resolved. Investigative actions are ongoing.
