In Odessa, events on the occasion of the Day of the City were held without disturbances
Yesterday, Odessa celebrated its 227th birthday with festive ceremonies, exhibitions and concerts, which ended with fireworks on the Potemkin Stairs. Peace and security of Odessa residents and guests of the city was ensured by 700 policemen and national guards.
From the very morning, the fighters of the 3rd patrol battalion of the National Guard were on duty in the city center, where solemn events were held. The commander of the unit, Colonel Vyacheslav Krasnopolsky, took part in the celebration.
In the evening, the soldiers of the 1st and 2nd patrol battalions came out to protect the peace of the inhabitants of the city. Rich experience and high competence of the defenders of the city became a guarantee of the festive mood of Odessa residents.
Reinforced patrols of law enforcement officers and employees of the “dialogue police” followed the law order on the streets of the city, ready at any moment to provide assistance and extinguish the conflict situation.
The festive events were held without violations of public order, but the police continue to monitor the safety of citizens.
