International scientific-practical conference on the occasion of 60th anniversary of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs was held in DonDUVS
On April 28, in Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the institution of higher education, the international scientific-practical conference “DONDUVS: EDUCATIONAL TRADITIONS, TESTED BY TIME” was held.
The conference began with a welcoming speech by Rector Serhiy Vitvitskyi, who in his speech focused the attention of the conference participants on the path of formation of the educational institution from the high school of the police to the present day, the importance of the activities of different generations of the collective and determined further priority directions for the development of the institution of higher education.
The Director of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Colonel of Police Gennady Doskevych, made a congratulatory speech, who congratulated on the anniversary and announced the Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine dated 12.04.2021 No. 260 on changing the status of the institution and its name to DONETSK STATE UNIVERSITY OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS.
The team also congratulated on the anniversary: Head of the Main Department of Higher Education and Adult Education of the Directorate of Professional Pre-Higher and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Svetlana Kretovych, Deputy Mayor of Mariupol Arkadiy Meshkov, Chairman of the Mariupol District Council Stepan Mahsma, Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in Donetsk Oblast (Region), Doctor of Law, Associate Professor, Third Rank Police General Mykola Semenyshyn, First Vice President of the National Academy of Legal Sciences Ukraine, full member (academician) of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Juridical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Volodymyr Zhuravel, Judge of the Civil Court of Cassation in the Supreme Court, Doctor of Juridical Sciences, Professor Yevhen Petrov, Myra Metropolitan of Donetsk and Mariupol Sergey and others.
International partners, including: Head of the Consultative Mission of the European Union in Ukraine Antti Hartikainen, Chief Counsel of the European Union Advisory Mission in Ukraine on Prosecution, Spiridon Flogaki, Director of the European Public Law Organization Spiridon Flogaki, Director of the European Public Law Organization Spiridon Flogaki addressed the University's staff with words of congratulations to the university staff. Katowice (Poland) Oleksandra Kukula, Senior Manager of Labor Development USAID “Economic Support for Eastern Ukraine” Snizhana Leu-Severynenko, Vice-Rector of Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania) Saulus Spurga, Professor of Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), representative of NGO “Donbas Gate” Alvidas Medalinskas.
On the long path of development, our university has gained many friends and partners who share its holiday and joined the conference. In total, the organizing committee of the scientific event received more than 160 applications from representatives of the highest state bodies of Ukraine: the Constitutional Court, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police, the Ministry of Education and Science; leading institutions of higher education and scientific institutions; local self-government bodies; foreign partners; representatives of practical units of law enforcement agencies, public organizations. Among the participants of the conference are 36 doctors of sciences, 23 professors, 69 candidates of sciences and doctors of philosophy, 10 representatives of foreign institutions and international organizations.
The already achieved results of educational and scientific activities and the granting of the institute the status of a university serve as a reliable basis for conquering the next peaks and building new, most ambitious plans of the team.
