In Avdiivka, Crimean police officers found a cache of firearms and ammunition
Law enforcement officers seized a PTUR installation, several dozen grenades, grenade launchers, as well as mines. Skhron was found on the territory of the garage cooperative. Investigators of the Crimean police establish the origin of the seized weapons in the framework of criminal proceedings. This was reported by the chief of police of Crimea Vitaliy Strizhak.
According to him, the investigators of the Crimean police are conducting a pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings opened under Part 1 of Art. 262 (Abduction, appropriation, extortion of firearms, war supplies, explosives or radioactive materials, or possession of them by fraud or abuse of official position), as well as under Part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As part of this investigation, peninsular police investigators discovered a swathe of firearms and ammunition. A cache of weapons was found on the territory of a garage cooperative in the city of Avdeevka in the Donetsk region.
Law enforcement officers seized 60 F-1 grenades, 36 RGD grenades, more than 100 mines, 10 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers. In addition, the police discovered a PTUR installation and almost 14 thousand cartridges of various calibers.
“Investigators are now establishing the origin of the weapons and ammunition, as well as the persons involved in their illegal storage. All seized investigators sent for examination,” said the head of the Crimean police Vitaliy Strizhak.
Recall that the police detained the militant during an attempt to cross the administrative border with the occupied Crimea.
Earlier it was reported that the investigators of the National Police declared a suspicion of a member of the illegal armed formation “Self-Defense of Crimea”.
