Large-scale command and staff training took place at the National Guard Academy
Command and staff trainings were held with master officers of the Faculty of Operations. The third stage of the exercises was held at the training center of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine. The main task of the third stage was to work out the issues of managing the forces and means of the operational task brigade of the National Blue Guard in case of aggravation of the situation during the special operation to block, search and neutralize sabotage and reconnaissance groups.
At the time of the third stage of training, all master officers of the second year of training were assigned to relevant positions in their specialty and performed tasks as assigned. 186 cadets from all faculties were involved in working out practical issues in the training center.
“During the practical part of the exercises, imitation tools were used to draw the actions of the sabotage and reconnaissance group. In addition, a canine team was involved to detain the sabotage and reconnaissance group. Thus, we created a platform for exercises that mimicked the real actions of certain formations as much as possible,” said Associate Professor of the Department of Operational Art Andriy Chukhlatyi.
To fully recreate the legend of the training, representatives from the military units of the Eastern ATO National Guard, who have rich combat experience, were involved in the training. The management group of officers of the operations faculty collected information, and the commander made decisions and gave instructions for conducting a special operation.
“The unit, which was active in the exercises for the sabotage and reconnaissance group, has worked out several lead-ins regarding the clash with our units. Elements of the order of battle under the leadership of the officers carried out orders for the pursuit and destruction of the enemy in the blockaded area,” says Master Officer Major Igor Selidbovskiy.
Much attention was paid to logistics. In the field, the officers responsible for the direction of technical and rear support, carried out control of the movement of equipment and evacuation of damaged cars, organized food in the field. During the practical part of the exercises 19 units of technology were involved.
At the end of the third stage of command and staff exercises, an analysis of the actions of master officers was carried out.
