The government allocates 175 million to strengthen the Ukrainian border

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to allocate 175 million UAH to strengthen the protection of the Ukrainian border due to the complication of the operational situation on the Ukrainian-Belarusian section of the state border.

This decision was taken by the Government today, November 24, during its regular meeting.

“Understanding the difficult situation on the Belarusian-Polish border, we continue to strengthen our borders. It cannot be ruled out that the migration destabilization project may be extended to the Ukrainian-Belarusian border. We must be ready for any scenario, so we allocate 175 million UAH to strengthen the security measures of the Ukrainian border,” said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmyhal.

In the explanatory note to the relevant draft order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to allocate UAH 175 010, 037 thousand (for the Administration of the State Border Service - 66 910, 55 thousand UAH, for the National Guard - 108 099, 982 thousand UAH) for carrying out priority measures to eliminate consequences of this emergency of a social nature.

Earlier it was reported that a joint special border operation “Polissya” began on the border with the Republic of Belarus. It is coordinated by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and is carried out jointly with the forces of the National Guard, the National Police, the Armed Forces and other reserves involved. These are further measures to increase the protection and protection of the Ukrainian border in order to prevent the migration crisis and counteract illegal activities.
