In nine months of this year, police have uncovered 99 percent of premeditated murders and grievous bodily harm with fatal consequences
This was discussed during the summing up of the official activities of the criminal police units under the chairmanship of the head of the department Igor Klymenko.
All units of the criminal unit of the police worked efficiently and with maximum dedication. As a result, the police effectively counteracted crime, which made it possible to improve the criminogenic situation in the state as a whole.
“This year, 246 thousand criminal offenses were committed, which is more than 42 thousand less than in the same period last year. At the same time, more than 53 percent of offenses were discovered. Significant results have been achieved in the fight against crimes against the person. The remainder of unsolved premeditated murders is only 10 crimes out of 961 registered. And this is the best result in the years of work of the police of Ukraine,” said the First Deputy Head of the National Police Mikhail Kuznetsov.
The participants of the meeting analyzed the operational situation in the state for certain types of crimes.
The head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police Vadim Dziubinsky stressed that more than 98 percent of serious bodily injuries with death, rapes - almost 99 percent have been revealed.
According to him, police officers at a fairly high level counteract property crimes. During the year, the police uncovered more than 92 percent of robberies and more than 83 percent of robberies.
“Thanks to the new approach in organizing the work of all criminal police units, the number of illegal possession of vehicles has decreased by almost 40 percent. Thus, for 9 months of this year, more than 65 percent of the committed illegal possession of vehicles were revealed,” said Vadim Dziubinsky.
Also during the meeting was noted the positive work of the criminal units of the National Police — Departments of Strategic Investigations, Criminal Investigation, Cyber Police, Anti-Narcotics and Migration Police.
