Ukrainian aircraft AN-32P are the best for fighting fires, so the Ministry of Internal Affairs orders from the State Enterprise “Antonov” another board for the needs of the State Emergency Service — Denis Monastyrsky
Today, December 17, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the leadership of the State Enterprise “Antonov”. Separately, the commander of the Special Aviation Detachment of the State Emergency Service Konstantin Kolomin and the General Director of the State Enterprise “Antonov” Sergey Bychkov signed a contract for the supply of the AN-32P fire-fighting aircraft for the Special Aviation Detachment of the Operational Rescue Service of the Civil Protection of the State Emergency Service Situations in Ukraine.
“This year, several countries appealed to Ukraine for help. Turkey, Italy and Greece have asked our specialists to help extinguish the fires. According to the results of such cooperation, the Ministry of Internal Affairs decided to buy another aircraft that will allow to effectively fight fires. Therefore, we want to order the production of another AN-32P aircraft,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
The Minister of the Interior stressed that the international partners, all as one said, Ukrainian aircraft were the best, they could collect the greatest amount of water: “Our aviators worked in the most difficult conditions, in hard-to-reach places, in the mountains. There were planes from all over the world.”
Delivery of the aircraft is expected next year, the approximate cost is 400 million hryvnias. This will already be the fifth AN-32P aircraft in the air fleet of the SNS.
Recall that the Ministry of Internal Affairs implements two ambitious projects at once - the Unified Aeromedical Space and the European Fire Safety Hub.
