About a million believers will take part in Easter services — police ready to provide security
According to preliminary information, festive services will be held in almost 14 thousand temples. Therefore, more than 21,000 police officers will be on duty, who will be near religious buildings, as well as monitor security on highways and near citizens' recreation places.
Pre-holiday services on the occasion of the celebration of Easter can be attended by more than a million believers. Therefore, public safety and order of citizens will be ensured by more than 29 thousand law enforcement officers: 21.1 thousand police officers, 1.6 thousand soldiers of the National State University of Ukraine, 1.4 thousand cadets of the institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as employees of the State Emergency Service.
Law enforcers who come into service on holidays will not only monitor the order, but also monitor the observance of quarantine restrictions. At the same time, they will primarily carry out explanatory work, and in case of ignoring comments, they will bring the violators to administrative or criminal liability. Therefore, the police urge citizens to observe quarantine restrictions, in particular — social distancing and the use of personal protective equipment.
Recall, the Head of the National Police Igor Klymenko noted that on the eve of the Easter holidays in all regions of the state, law enforcement officers held meetings with the heads of dioceses and churches and reminded them of the observance of quarantine restrictions during religious expeditions.
