In Zhytomyr there was a training and training meeting on the fight against unmanned aerial vehicles
In total, more than 100 people, 23 UAVs of different types and 7 UAV countermeasures were involved in the training meeting.
Personnel of the Training Center for the Use and Operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems of the Main Center for Training Personnel of the State Border Guard Service named after Major General Igor Momot took part in training and training sessions on counteracting unmanned aerial vehicles of special purpose units of counterterrorism subjects. The meeting of specialists took place on the basis of the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S. P. Korolev.
In addition to border guards, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Police, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Criminal Enforcement Service of Ukraine and the Department of State Protection of Ukraine took part in the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to acquire capabilities to combat sabotage and reconnaissance groups, to perform practical tasks in the conditions of the use of anti-UAV equipment by the enemy and to exchange the best experience of various units in the field of unmanned aviation.
During the practical phase, the participants practiced training exercises according to individually defined scenarios. BPak crews searched for, identified and escorted equipment and conditional terrorists, collected information necessary for the use of the assault group. And the electronic warfare units were engaged in the detection and identification of drones, determined their position and carried out electronic combat against UAVs of both aircraft and multi-rotor types.
According to the results of the training meeting, the head of the Zhytomyr Military Institute named after S.P. Royal Major General Oleksandr Levchenko thanked all participants for fruitful cooperation and wished new achievements in the field of unmanned aviation.
