A citizen who caused bodily harm to a policeman was detained in Zaporizhzhia
Earlier, the convicted man spoke in a rude form in the direction of a law enforcement officer, after which he inflicted head injuries. In the order of Art. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine detained the attacker. Investigative actions are underway.
On December 2, about 15 hours before the duty station of the police department No. 5 of the Zaporizhzhya district police department on the special line “102” received a message that on the same day, an hour earlier, a police officer with a head injury had applied to the 9th City Clinical Hospital of Zaporizhzhia for medical help.
The measures taken have established that on December 2, at 10.50 am, an employee of the police department No. 5 of the Zaporizhzhya RUP, while on duty, while working out a call on Doroshenko Street, received bodily injuries from an ordinary citizen.
The offender was detained in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He turned out to be a 40-year-old resident of the regional center, who had previously been prosecuted for drug crimes. According to the conclusion of the medical examination, the attacker was in a state of drug intoxication.
Information about the incident is entered in the Unified Register of Pretrial Investigations. At present, the issue of notifying the defendant of suspicion of committing a crime on the basis of Part 2 of Art. 2 is being resolved. 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Intentionally causing beatings, light or moderate bodily injuries to an employee of a law enforcement agency or his close relatives in connection with the performance of official duties by this employee”. For the actions committed, a man is threatened with restriction of liberty for up to five years or imprisonment for the same period.
