In Zaporizhzhia, the police detained two men for shooting in the city center
Three victims were hospitalized in a medical facility. Two other doctors assisted at the scene. The attackers tried to escape in their own car, but were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code. Investigators opened criminal proceedings on the fact of hooliganism.
At about 5 o'clock in the morning, the police department No. 1 of the Zaporizhzhya district department of the GUNP in the Zaporizhzhya region received a report that unknown people opened fire on the street of the Coastal Highway near the cafe. There are victims.
The leadership of the regional police chief, the investigative and operational group of the police department No. 1, patrol uniforms, expert laboratory, and ambulance medics immediately went to the place of the call.
At the scene, police officers established that two men near one of the entertainment venues during a sudden conflict with traumatic pistols began shooting at opponents. As a result, five citizens were injured, three of them hospitalized. The attackers fled the scene in their own car.
Police officers gathered information from witnesses and eyewitnesses of the incident, seized and analyzed recordings from CCTV cameras, and determined that the wanted men were traveling in a Chrysler car. Orientation on his search was given to all patrol outfits. In the area of Northern Highway, the intruders were stopped by patrol police officers. Both residents of Zaporizhia were born in 1992 and 1987.
They are currently detained under the order of Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Police officers seized two Fort pistols from the detainees. The weapon is intended for examination.
According to this fact, criminal proceedings were opened under Part 4 of Art. 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction under the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
Under the procedural guidance of the district prosecutor's office, the issue of declaring suspicion and choosing detained preventive measures will be resolved.
