The Dead Guards Were Honored in the Hall of Remembrance
Today, in the Hall of Remembrance on the territory of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, there was a daily morning ceremony commemorating the defenders of Ukraine who died on this day in different years during peacekeeping operations in hot spots of the world and as a result of Russian armed aggression in the east of Ukraine, in the area of the anti-terrorist operation and the operation of the United Forces.
The event was attended by relatives and relatives of the deceased Heroes, commanders and servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, officers and employees of structural units of the Defense Department and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, servicemen of the Kiev garrison.

On January 5, 2015, as a result of a traffic accident, 13 servicemen of the Operational Assignment Battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine Major General Serhiy Kulchitsky of the National Guard of Ukraine were tragically killed.
The accident occurred on the Kiev-Dovzhansky highway, near Bakhmut, and killed 13 servicemen. The soldiers of the volunteer battalion went to the rotation of their comrades in the ATO zone.
