In Kherson, police investigators reported on suspicion of the director of the enterprise in the embezzlement of other people's property for more than 9 million hryvnias
Investigators of the regional head of police of the Kherson region reported the suspicion of the director of the limited liability company in committing official crimes under Part 2.5 of Article 191 “Appropriation, squandering of property or seizing it by abuse of official position” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Investigators found that the director of the LLC concluded an agreement with another company for the provision of services for the reception, storage and release of petroleum products. Under the terms of the contract, the suspect accepted for responsible storage diesel fuel in the amount of 596,044 tons.
Further investigation established that the director, acting contrary to the terms of the contract, sold the specified diesel fuel to unknown persons. The money received for this did not go to the account of the oil products supplier company. According to the conclusion of the forensic economic examination, the enterprise-supplier of diesel fuel suffered losses totaling more than 9 million hryvnias.
A committed official may be threatened with imprisonment for a period of 7 to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property. A pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
