In Kharkiv, police investigators reported the suspicion of two men in committing a robbery attack on a currency exchange office
It was established that one of the attackers attacked the cashier of the currency exchange office and, threatening with an object similar to a gun, took 1 million 600 thousand hryvnias from the cash register. His accomplice watched on the street at this time so that no one could prevent the crime from being committed. Criminal proceedings against the defendants have been initiated under Part 4 of Art. 187 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For their actions, they face up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
Two 33-year-old natives of Luhansk region are reasonably suspected of committing 6 robbery attacks on the territory of Industrial, Kharkiv, Kiev, Shevchenkivsk and Slobidsky districts, two robberies in Moscow and Shevchenkivsk districts, theft in Nemyshlyansk district and other legal imprisonment or kidnapping of a person in Shevchenko district.
The attackers were exposed by the criminal investigation department, the investigative department, the Kharkiv district police department № 3, the police department №2 of the HRUP №1, the operational service department, the department of operational and technical measures with the involvement of special units KORD, BPOP GUPN in Kharkiv region under the procedural leadership of Slobidska and Shevchenko district prosecutor's offices of the city. Kharkov on May 17 during the implementation of operational information and documentation of criminal activities of a group of persons suspected of committing robbery attacks on currency exchange offices during 2019-2021.
On May 17, the men were informed of the suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 4 of Art. 187 (Robbery) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention is resolved. The sanction of the article provides for up to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.
The police check the attackers for involvement in the commission of similar crimes on the territory of Kharkiv region and other regions of Ukraine.
