In Kharkiv, investigators of the National Police reported on suspicion of members of the criminal group in the illegal takeover of enterprises
The criminal group included five people, including a lawyer. The attackers, through forged documents, took over three enterprises, the owner of which died, and the successors did not have time to inherit the property.
Investigators of the Corruption Crime Investigation Department of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the operational support of the Department of Strategic Investigations of the National Police and the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General in Kharkiv exposed the fact of illegal takeover of three enterprises by the criminal group. The group consisted of five people, including a lawyer.
During the pre-trial investigation, the police found that the owner, who owned the company for the manufacture of flooring materials, had died. Taking advantage of the difficult situation of the successors — widows and children, the attackers forged constituent documents and thus took possession of the subjects of economic activity.
In addition, during the pre-trial investigation, the defendants repeatedly tried to put pressure on law enforcement officers and counteract the pre-trial investigation. The attackers provided the media with inaccurate information about the illegal activities of police officers. In the media there were materials that investigators seem to be obstructing the activities of enterprises and trying to seize them.
Yesterday, May 13, in the city of Kharkiv, law enforcement officers conducted sanctioned searches at the places of residence of the defendants and seized documentation confirming their criminal activities.
All members of the criminal group were notified of suspicion under Art. part 2 of Art. 206-2 (Illegal possession of property of an enterprise, institution, organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The offenders face up to five years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
