In Kharkiv, police destroyed drugs worth 5 million hryvnias
Drugs seized by police officers from illegal circulation during the investigation of criminal proceedings. The cost of destroyed prohibited substances on the “black market” reaches 5 million hryvnias.
The destruction took place in the presence of a commission, which included employees of investigative and operational units, forensic inspectors. Representatives of the NGO and the media were also present during the event.
According to the assistant head of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region Vyacheslav Markov, only 400 kilograms of narcotic substances, precursors were destroyed. They were disposed of in accordance with 180 court decisions.
- We are as open as possible, we have nothing to hide. This is not just an act of public destruction of drugs, it is the best example of the inevitability of the law for persons who have gone on a criminal path and trade death, - said Vyacheslav Markov, assistant head of the GUNP in Kharkiv region.
The disposal procedure was formalized by official acts and certified by the signatures of all members of the commission.
