Training meetings with specialists of technical support services were held in the Eastern ATO National Guard
In Kharkiv, on the basis of military units 3005 and 3017, two-day training and methodological meetings were held with deputy commanders of military units for armament — heads of technical units, heads of technical support services of military units of the Eastern Operational and Territorial Association of the National Guard of Ukraine. During the meeting, the personnel got acquainted with enterprises on the territory of Kharkiv region, which produce and repair automotive and armored vehicles.
The meeting was headed by the Deputy Head of the Eastern Territorial Armaments Department — the head of the technical department Colonel Yuriy Tarasov. The meeting began on the basis of the military unit 3005 with the staffing, where the purpose, objectives and plan of the classes were proved.
During the educational and methodical meeting, the servicemen visited the Kharkiv Design Bureau for Mechanical Engineering named after O.O. Morozov, where the company's specialists told in detail about the development, modernization, repair and production of armored vehicles and weapons.
“The National Guard of Ukraine has been cooperating with the Kharkiv Design Bureau for Mechanical Engineering for more than one year, according to the contracts of the state defense order, the military units of the Eastern ATO received armored personnel carriers, which today are used in everyday activities and military tasks in the zone of the operation of the United Forces. Therefore, there is always a need for maintenance and repair of these machines,” said Colonel Yuriy Tarasov, deputy head of the Armament Department.
Representatives of the plant also conducted a tour of production for the guards, namely the area where the production of military equipment goes into mass production - this is the assembly and rolling on stand devices, the site where the combat module with weapons is assembled, and where certain units from the construction of the BIS are manufactured and rolled. Tra. Also, the personnel was provided with a class for training on dynamic simulators, where the personnel had the opportunity to gain the skills of a driver-mechanic, gunner, and also a car commander.
“Classes were held on the complex simulator of the crew of the BTR-4 based on the engine “Deutz”. This simulator is currently the only one that corresponds to a real machine. The simulator gives practical skills to train the operator in working with complexes, movement control and shooting. Now there are two simulators in the National Guard, but they correspond to a car based on a different engine, today there is a tendency to modernize armored personnel carriers, which will save the motor resource of equipment and ammunition, so such classes for personnel are necessary”, - noted the head of the training sector Andrey Novokreschenov.
In addition, the officers visited the private company Promenergo, where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the production and all stages of repair and maintenance of engines, turbines, weapons and ammunition.
“At production, we repair engines and their full maintenance, repair vehicles, transmissions of vehicles, there is also a foundry, mechanical processing and weapons maintenance sites,” says Vladyslav Sokolec, chief engineer of Promenergo.
The meeting was completed by summing up the results of the seasonal maintenance of automotive equipment and setting tasks for the second half of 2021.
