In the capital, the solemn opening of the All-Ukrainian competition “The strongest firefighter-rescuer Kyiv 2021” took place
From the very morning of September 25, on the main street of the capital - Khreshchatyk, the most agile and hardy rescuers from all over the country compete among themselves for the title of the winner of the All-Ukrainian competition “The strongest firefighter-rescuer Kyiv 2021”. Boys and girls from 19 teams play out award sets in different nominations. We are talking about individual races, team relay, as well as tandem.
Everyone can watch the large-scale sports event, and the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhenii Yenin and the Head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechotkin arrived to open the competition and set up the athletes for a bright fight.
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs noted that sport teaches hard work on oneself. It forces you to turn on your internal resource to the maximum in order to achieve the goal. This is what rescuers expect from people who get into trouble.
“It is nice that our Ukrainian rescuers adopt the experience of their foreign colleagues, because these competitions, as far as I know, are held in the format of the world-famous Firefighter combat chellenge competitions,” he said.
In turn, Nikolai Chechotkin congratulated the rescuers on a professional holiday celebrated on September 17 and the start of the long-awaited competition. He wished the personnel to always return home intact and intact from combat tours and not to lose those qualities that allow rescuers to be sensitive and not indifferent to other people's troubles: “All of you consciously chose the difficult and dangerous path — to help those in trouble and to be there where people go through the most difficult moments of their lives. By risking yourself, you prove to society every day that every citizen of our state can count on you.” The head of the SNSS wished the athletes easy starts, and the spectators - to enjoy watching the spectacular fight.
After watching the girls' races in the tandem and men's relay, Yevgeny Yenin and Mykola Chechotkin visited the exposition of the State Emergency Service, where samples of fire and rescue and other special equipment used by the State Emergency Service are presented, a location for children, equipment as a sports ground in the style of “The strongest firefighter-rescuer” and took part in the award of the first winners and medalists in the nomination of individual races among women.
Thus, the first place was taken by the representative of the Kiev team Oksana Chekhmestrenko, the second result was shown by Maria Lebedinskaya from Rivne regions, and the “bronze” was won by a rescuer from Transcarpathia Maria Hichka.
