The Open Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on strongman-2021 was held in the capital
Today, May 15, the Open Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on strongman-2021 took place at the Desnyansk Central Stadium of Kyiv, in which 8 teams of employees of the National Police, the National Guard, the State Border Service, the State Emergency Service, the Department of Patrol Police took part and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko and Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Vadim Troyan.
Ekaterina Pavlichenko solemnly opened the tournament and congratulated each participant on behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov.
“I wish you all good health and victories. Let the best, strongest and necessarily injury-free win. Come on, guys!” - said the deputy interior minister.
According to the results of the competition, the first place and the cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs were won by the 2 team of the State Emergency Service, the second place was won by the team of the Department of Patrol Police, the third place was taken by the team 1 of the State Emergency Service. They were awarded medals.
Vadim Troyan said that the purpose of the competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle and regular sports among the employees of the power structures who are not professional athletes.
“The Open Cup of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in strongman is held for the 5th year in a row. Unfortunately, in 2020 the tournament was not held due to quarantine. Today, our best athletes, employees of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, competed for the Minister's Cup,” said the Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine.
Recall that in October 2019 in Lviv the Minister of Internal Affairs Strongman Cup was won by the team of the Department of Patrol Police.
