The head of the Main Department of the National Police in the Chernihiv region Vladimir Nidzelsky opened a police station in the village of Avdiyivka of the Ponornytsky community of Novgorod-Seversky district.

The opening of the police station was also attended by the head of the Novgorod-Seversky district police department Andrey Vodolazkin and the village head Viktor Ivashchenko.

With the support of local authorities, the police station in Avdiivka was provided with all the necessary furniture and office equipment.

Also, the police chief of the Chernihiv region inspected a car specially purchased by the community for his future police officer. The SUV is already prepared for carrying the police service in rural areas.

— The Ponornytsky community took two significant steps at once to participate in the “Community Police Officer” project. This is a significant event, both for the community and for the police. The creation of a police station will bring the community to a new level of providing the population with high-quality law enforcement service. As for the independent purchase and equipment of a service car — this was one of the first in the region of Ponornytska Hromada. Together we are moving towards success thanks to purposeful work, fruitful cooperation of the local authorities and the National Police, - said Volodymyr Nidzelsky.

The police station, where law enforcement officers will serve, is also equipped with everything necessary for quick response to citizens' appeals, ensuring public safety and preventing offenses in the service area.
