In the new year 2022, more than 140 thousand people crossed the border of Ukraine
Since the beginning of 2022, border guards have passed through the state border to enter and exit only more than 141 thousand people, as well as 23.7 thousand vehicles.
97 foreigners were denied a pass, 25 of them are citizens of the Russian Federation.
Border guards detained 10 people for illegal crossing and attempting to illegally cross the state border outside checkpoints.
With the use of SafeBorder software, since the beginning of 2022, border guards have checked more than 24 thousand. COVID-19 certificates were found, 6 fakes (3 — at the checkpoint “Kyiv” and 3 at the checkpoints of the Southern Regional Administration).
At the checkpoints, the border guards handed 24 offenders copies of decisions on the imposition of administrative penalties for offenses in the field of road safety, recorded in automatic mode.
Most of these decrees were handed down at the border with Moldova — 17 (at the checkpoints “Kuchurgan”, “Platonovo”, “Mogilev-Podolsky”, “Vinogradovka”, “Tabaki”, “Starokozache”). For violators of traffic rules, “surprises” were also waiting at checkpoints on the border with Belarus — 3 resolutions were handed out (at the checkpoints “Novi Yarylovychi” and “Vystupovichi”), at the border with the Russian Federation (checkpoint “Bachivsk”) — 1 was handed a resolution, and at the border with Poland at the crossing point “Yagodin” — also 1 resolution. Two more violators of the decree were handed over at the airports “Boryspil” and “Odessa”.
It should be noted that in order to ensure the rhythm of crossing operations for the period of New Year and Christmas holidays, the number of border guards for checking documents and inspecting vehicles has been increased at the checkpoints.
Citizens planning trips abroad are recommended to choose the least loaded checkpoints. The load status of checkpoints can be tracked on online resources, including the official website of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine https://dpsu.gov.ua/ua/map/ or the Facebook page of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service.
