In fact, the history of this educational institution goes back many decades and has a very interesting and rich path of development. In the last 30 years alone, the Academy has made its way from a military school to a leading military educational institution. Constant movement and the desire to never stop at one level is the hallmark of the National Guard, as a whole, and the educational institution in particular, - said Mary Akopyan. “I am proud that most of the teachers and officers of the Academy from the very first days of ATO were involved in the implementation of combat tasks and without limit grateful to them for this. The high level of training is also evidenced by participation in international events, where the representatives of the Academy always receive due appreciation from our international partners. I want to wish everyone good health, a successful career, inspiration, and most importantly — a peaceful sky above their heads, confidence in their abilities and opportunities to develop further.”

The commander of the National Guard of Ukraine, Colonel-General Mykola Balan, focused on the main historical events and facts that influenced the development of the educational institution.

I am sure that many years of history and traditions will not be forgotten, because they are the foundation for the further development of the National Academy and the National Guard of Ukraine. And every head of the military school, institute, and then the Academy, brick by brick builds that educational temple, which is now called the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine, - said Colonel-General Mykola Balan. - I can say with confidence that you have made a lot of effort for the further career development of officers of the National Guard of Ukraine, as well as the State Border Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other security and law enforcement formations. I would like to express special wishes to future officers. I am sure that you will conscientiously serve the Motherland, enjoying high moral qualities, with all officer honor and responsibility. I wish each of you and your families health, well-being, peace and victory. Thank you all for your service! Glory to the National Guard of Ukraine! Glory to Ukraine!”

This was both during the Second World War and in 2014, when the guards defended Kharkiv and stopped the “Russian Spring”. I wanted to thank all the teachers and all the staff of the Academy for the opportunity to make decisions in difficult conditions. I am convinced that you should treat with great love to those whom you teach,” said Stepan Poltorak. “I am grateful to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for the fact that you, looking into the eyes of the cadets, understand that the future is being formed here. And I also thank the local authorities for their friendly relations with the educational institution. I wish everyone health, success and, of course, victories.”
