The Ministry of Internal Affairs said goodbye to the deputy commander of a separate special detachment Alexander Pavlyuk
Today, June 8, a farewell ceremony was held at the Center of Culture of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the deputy commander from the rear of a separate special task detachment of the 12th operational brigade named after D. Vyshnevetsky (w/h 3057) of the Eastern ATO of the National Guard of Ukraine, Senior Lieutenant Alexander Pavlyuk. The soldier was known by the nickname “Chuck”. He died prematurely and unexpectedly at the age of 59.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov expressed his condolences and noted that Alexander Pavlyuk was “a brilliant organizer, a caring owner, a sincere patriot. Thanks to him, the Azovites are among the most capable in the National Guard.”
“Dear friend, we are gathered here today to take you to another world. I think you'll be fine there. This man was with us in the most difficult times. Demanding, strict, but at the same time Oleksandr Pavlyuk could reach anyone. I don't know how Azov will be able to replace Chuck now, but it must be done to continue his work. Glory to the hero and glory to Ukraine,” Arsen Avakov said.
Deputy commander of NGU Yuriy Lebid stressed that all seven years of service, Oleksandr Pavlyuk daily showed that he is not indifferent to the fate of Ukraine and he is ready to defend his state.
“Sleep peacefully. Ukraine will be free. Everything you fought for, we will bring to life,” Yuriy Lebid said.
Deputy Chairman of the NPU Vadim Troyan said that Chuck was a true friend.
“Chuck, brother, I will always hear your voice. You are the only one I can call a part of my soul. We remember you always. Glory to the nation, glory to the hero,” Vadim Troyan emphasized.
As Denis Prokopenko, the commander of a separate detachment of the special purpose unit of the National University of Science and Technology “Azov” recalls: “A lot depended only on his personality - on his ability to build communication with different people and leaders, to set priorities, on trust and respect for him. Thanks to the second Chuck, there was a lot of volunteer help, he studied and made effective decisions without any tenders on food, on security, on equipment of training grounds, bases, on weapons. He was a successful entrepreneur before the war, but devoted himself to military service.”
Yesterday he and the deputy commander of the regiment said goodbye to the garrison of the regiment “Azov” in Urzuf, Donetsk region.
He hails from Rokytno, Rivne region, and came to the front as a volunteer in 2014. Since January 2015, he took the rear of Azov.
It was Chuck who organized the rear support of the Azov Volunteer Battalion at the front from scratch, and his unique organizational abilities made it possible to create a high-class military base of the special purpose unit of NGU “Azov”. For seven years, Chuck took care of giving a soldier the strength to be effective in service — ensuring the vital activity of the battalion.
A participant of the Revolution of Dignity, Oleksandr Pavlyuk joined the army in the stormy 2014 year, thanks to his work “Azov” became one of the most combat-capable units of the National Guard of Ukraine.
For distinguished service, courage, professional and business qualities Oleksandr Pavlyuk was awarded high honors, in particular the badge “For Valorous Service”, the diploma of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the breastplate “For distinction in service”, firearms and became a Knight of the Order of Danylo Halytsia Kogo.
We extend our condolences to Chuck's family and friends, brothers and comrades!
Glory to the hero Alexander Pavlyuk, patriot and warrior!
