Today, September 11, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine held a daily morning ceremony honoring the defenders of Ukraine who died for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of our state and during international operations to maintain peace and security.
The event was attended by relatives and relatives of the deceased heroes, representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, officers and employees of structural units of the Ministry of Defense, General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, servicemen of the Kiev garrison.
The Ring of Remembrance sounded three times...
The first bell was honored by the National Guard, a senior soldier of the Reserve Operational Battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine General Sergei Kulchitsky.
The National Guard sniper died on September 11, 2014 from a severe gunshot wound to the chest, which he received in combat in the vicinity of the city. Uglegorskaya.
By the Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 838/2014 of October 31, 2014, “for personal courage and heroism in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath”, he was awarded the Order “For Courage” of the III degree (posthumously).
The participants honored the memory of the defenders of Ukraine with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Stele of Remembrance. Eternal memory to the heroes who fought for our free, independent Ukraine! Eternal Glory to them!

Reference: The Hall of Remembrance of Defenders of Ukraine was created to commemorate the servicemen who died for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine. It is specially arranged in such a way that military personnel, employees of the Ministry of Defense and General Staff, and ordinary citizens can enter the Hall and pay tribute to their defenders.
Near the building of the Hall of Remembrance there is a plaza for solemn ceremonial events and a Commemorative Sign, in which fragments of shells with the Memorial Bell are mounted. The daily memorial ritual is carried out by ringing a bell, depending on the number of dead on that day.
Inside the Hall of Remembrance, on special podiums, there are Memory Books with the names of the dead. The structure of the Books is built on the principle of the calendar: one turn is one day, where all those who died on this day for all the years are remembered.
