In Mariupol, a guard service dog found a cache of ammunition

While patrolling the Left Bank area of Mariupol, a guard dog discovered a cache of ammunition.

The soldiers of the Mariupol Brigade of the National Guard carried out public order protection service in the Left Bank area of Mariupol. Patrolling the “Skhidnyi” neighborhood, along the street of the Defenders of Ukraine, the service dog began to react in the direction of the electric support, past which the guard's outfit passed. Coming closer, the dog indicated that there was probably a dangerous object nearby. Therefore, after the reaction of the four-legged, an inspection of the place it marked was carried out. And he was not mistaken, indeed, the guards found a dangerous hiding place there.

“They were patrolling in normal mode. Suddenly the dog began to react and pull me a little towards the electric support. Nothing was visible, because it was already dark, but I know this reaction, so I reacted immediately,” comments the guard dog specialist. The guards immediately surrounded the place where dangerous objects were detected, called the investigative and operational team and the explosives service of the State Emergency Service.

As it became known later, the package contained two RGD grenades, an F-1 grenade, two counterfeiters, a smoke bar and cartridges of caliber 7.62 and 5.45 mm in dispersion.

At present, by explosives technicians working at the detection site, dangerous items have been seized and handed over to police officers for examination.
