Football tournament for the Memorial Cup of the General of the Army of Ukraine Valery Gubenko ended in Lviv
Today, the 3rd tournament of the State Border Service of Ukraine on football for the Cup in memory of General of the Army of Ukraine Valery Gubenko ended in Lviv.
According to the results of the tournament, the team of the National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine named after the team of the National Academy of the State Border Service of Ukraine became the winner and the winner of the Cup of the Memorial Tournament of the Army of Ukraine Valery Gubenko in 2021. B. Khmelnitsky, the 2nd place was won by the team of the Eastern Regional Administration, the 3rd place was taken by the team of the Western Regional Administration.
In addition, according to the results of the competition, Alexander Varava (Eastern Regional Administration) became the best player of the tournament. The title of “best goalkeeper of the tournament” was awarded to Ivan Ivanochko (Western Regional Administration). And the diploma of the best striker of the tournament was received by Andriy Mulyar (National Academy of the State Border Guard Service named after him). B. Khmelnitsky).
The winners were awarded by the Head of the State Border Service of Ukraine.

But at this tournament the best teams of the State Border Guard Service competed. I thank all participants for their thirst for victory and perseverance. Recall that the 3rd football tournament of the State Border Service of Ukraine for the Cup in memory of General of the Army of Ukraine Valery Gubenko — the first commander of the Border Troops of Ukraine, honorary dynamo, youth player of Dynamo Kyiv football club began on September 9 in Lviv.
This year, six national teams of the border department took part in the tournament — four from regional administrations, as well as the team of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after him. B. Khmelnytsky and the Main Center for Training Personnel of the State Border Service of Ukraine named after Major General Igor Momot. In total there are 102 border guards, 43 of them are members of the ATO/PLO.
