In Lviv, law enforcement officers detained a doctor while receiving a bribe in the amount of 8 thousand US dollars
The perpetrator, a doctor of one of the medical communal institutions of the Lviv Oblast Council, was exposed by investigators of the Special Crimes Investigation Department (detectives) of the Lviv Police Investigative Department together with the operatives of the Department of Security Service of Ukraine in Lviv region, under the procedural guidance of the Military Prosecutor's Office Western region.
As established by law enforcement officers, the doctor demanded from the combatant an illegal benefit in the amount of 8 thousand US dollars for assistance in providing him with a positive opinion of the ISEC on the determination of the 2nd group of disability, which provides for a social payment in the amount of about 800 thousand hryvnias.
On June 1, law enforcement officers detained the offender in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine during the receipt of illegal benefits by her.
The issue of notifying detainees of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Article 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the choice of a preventive measure for it is resolved.
The sanction of the article provides for punishment - imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years, with confiscation of property.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
