A new academic year has started in LvDUVS
Lviv State University of Internal Affairs held celebrations on the occasion of Knowledge Day and the beginning of the new academic year. Sincere congratulations on the holiday today were addressed to cadets, students and scientific and pedagogical staff of the university.
The beginning of the school year is one of the most exciting and joyful moments in the life of every freshman.
This year, the friendly university family was joined by 350 young men and girls who chose the profession of police. Recently, they completed a two-week training in the training department “Vereshchitsa”, in order to adapt as soon as possible to study at the university and to make sure that the planned path is correct.
Rector of the University, Colonel of Police Roman Blaguta congratulated the first-year cadets on the holiday. Addressing the youth, he stressed: “Today is a significant event in your life — the first Day of Knowledge in the ranks of the National Police as applicants for higher education, as law enforcement officers who will soon take the Oath of Allegiance to the Ukrainian people and become experts in their field. An interesting, varied and very intense educational process awaits you. So your main task is to work hard, consistently and systematically on yourself.”
The Lord's blessing of the first-year students was performed by the rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin of the village of Vereshchytsia and the Chapel of the Intercession of the Most Holy Virgin, Archpriest Ivan Revutsky. And cadet of Faculty No. 2 Martha Duban gave the attendees a bright musical greeting.
Solemn events on the occasion of the beginning of the new academic year were also held in the main building of the university, located on Horodotska Street.
The first vice-rector of LvDUV Police Colonel Taras Sozanskyi congratulated the students of 2-4 courses on the holiday. He wished young people to acquire new knowledge and practical skills necessary for their future professional activities in the ranks of the National Police.
This year, for the first time, the university held a recruitment for the unique educational and professional program “Law Enforcement Information Systems”, which was of great interest to entrants. Freshmen who have chosen this specialty, as well as applicants who will study in the specialty “Law Enforcement Activities”, were congratulated by the Vice-Rector of the University Oleg Shinkaruk. “Let your student life be unique and interesting!”, - he wished.
Festive celebrations were also held at the Institute of Law and the Institute of Management, Psychology and Security of Lviv DuvS.
The future lawyers were congratulated by the vice-rector of the university Olga Balinskaya. “Equality, freedom, justice are the principles by which you should be guided in life, - she noted. - Four years of study at the university will pass very quickly. So I ask you - do not forget this time, acquire new knowledge, because it is baggage that is easy to carry, it is capital that no one will take away, these are the opportunities that will open the door to professional growth for you”.
And Vice-Rector of Lviv DuvS Vasily Franchuk wished success in the new academic year to the students of the Institute of Management, Psychology and Security.
“Each of you has chosen exactly the educational and professional program that will give you the opportunity to realize your potential. And we will help you in every possible way in the realization of these aspirations, to share modern knowledge. Our university has all the necessary conditions for this, - he stressed. “I wish you to be purposeful, creative, find time for an interesting holiday, new hobbies and preferences.”
